Right from the start when we met Domaine Carlin Pinson in Paris, with three cuvées of Sancerre Tradition typical of the Appellation in white, red and rosé, they impressed us with their winemaking know-how, and their faithful representation of the AOP Sancerre, making fine wines with such characteristic aromas. Their Sancerre Rose is one of our summer best sellers! Based 40 km from Bourges and Nevers in Crézancy-en-Sancerre they produce wines that honour French viticulture as a continuation of a family tradition that has been perpetuated and modernized since 1970.
Domaine Carlin Pinson
The tradition cuvées are obtained by blending the juices from the different plots, in order to guarantee consistent quality, from vintage to vintage. These wines, aged in refrigerated stainless steel vats, are faithful representatives of the appellation, and make the most of the aromas of Sauvignon and Pinot. They also produce vintages for ageing, partially matured in oak barrels and casks, which gives them richness and tannins that promote ageing.
